The gap
What is missing today, and why it has not been done already. One paragraph. A good gap statement is checkable: someone should be able to disagree with it.
What you would do
The actual work, in the order it would happen. Data collection, then annotation, then a baseline, then the thing that is new. Say which part is the contribution and which part is groundwork.
What finished looks like
What exists at the end that did not exist at the start — a dataset, a model, a measurement, a paper — and how you would know it worked.
What you need to know first
The prerequisites, honestly stated. It is better to lose a student at this paragraph than in month four.
